The Choice between civil engineering and mechanical engineering depends on personal interests and career goals. Civil engineering focuses on infrastructure development, construction and environmental sustainability. Mechanical engineering deals with machines, manufacturing processes and design. Both fields offer a variety of career opportunities and are important in different industries. Consider factors such as passion, aptitude and labor market demand when making your decision. With a JEE Mains rank of 4.5 Lacs and an EWS rank of 70,000, consider colleges like Chandigarh University, Punjab Engineering College (PEC) and Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET). Although getting into top institutions can be difficult at this value, these colleges offer quality education and decent internship opportunities. Research their entry criteria, thresholds and fee structures. Also check Punjab State Engineering Colleges and Private Institutes for Admissions.
