There are about 25 Marine Engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. Of these, 20 colleges are privately owned and 4 colleges are owned by public/government organisations. TNEA, IMUCET, etc. are some of the most accepting entrance exams in top BTech in Marine Engineering colleges in TamilNadu. Some of the popular colleges include Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education, Coimbatore Marine College, Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Kanchipuram, Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training, Academy of Maritime Education and Training, IMA - International Maritime Academy, and many others.

A minimum of 50% in 10+2 is required for admission to Anna University's BE programme, in addition to taking the TNEA. Graduates in BE typically earn between 4.5 and 5.5 LPA, with the potential to reach 8 LPA. For BE/BTech admission, Anna University does not accept JEE Main marks; instead, admission is determined by TNEA counselling. Backward class students at Anna University are granted a 15% reservation in BE, along with other waivers for fee and minimum mark relaxations. Because of its breadth and employment prospects, biomedical engineering is the most popular engineering department at Anna University. For Tamil Nadu students, there is an additional cost reduction; nevertheless, verification of the residence certificate is necessary.

The goal of the B.M.S. College of Engineering is to produce engineers who are ready for the workforce and to give students an excellent education. To facilitate this, the school collaborates with university committees from AICTE, VTU, NBA, and NAAC in addition to quality assurance committees, and participates in several quality assurance audits both internally and externally. The BMS College of Engineering has received multiple honours and recognitions from respectable platforms and organisations, which is another motivation to choose to study engineering there. ATLASSIAN, which hired two individuals, offered the most package, Rs 48 LPA; CSE and ISE average 9 LPA. Furthermore, COHESITY paid Rs. 40 LPA and employed one student.

In UPSES these are the top branches with good placement and facility-

1- Applied Petroleum Engineering Upstream

2- Chemical Engineering Downstream

3- Automotive design engineering

But its not the matter of stream its actually the matter of interest, whether you're interested in these streams or not, there is too much students in these three streams in UPSES, but these branch have high scope in UPES like private colleges but CSE has the scope all over the India. So just go with your interest, if you choose upper three then there is high chances that you get placed, and in CSE you can also be placed but not have a surety in UPES.

My first recommendation would be Petroleum Engineering since it is the core branch of UPES and hence all the facilities and all things are to be provided by the institute in an excellent manner to petroleum students than to any other branch.
