Under its UG programme, Rashtriya Raksha University offers B.A. and B.Tech degrees. In different specialisations, it offers MA, LL.M., M.Sc., and M.Tech at the postgraduate level. The university also offers Ph.D. and M.Phil. programmes at the research level. In addition, the institute provides a postgraduate diploma in photography as well as a one-year diploma and three-month certificate programme.

For every course, candidates may apply offline or online.

A minimum of 50% in 10+2 is required of the candidate for the diploma and certificate programmes. 

A bachelor's degree in any field with at least 50% of the required marks is required for the PG Diploma.

Merit-based selection will be used for diploma, certificate, and postgraduate diploma programmes.

Either National Level Tests administered by different authorities or University-conducted Common Entrance Tests (CET) are used for admission to study programmes at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU). 

For numerous programmes, the CET entrance exam has been withdrawn as of the 2019–20 academic year. National Level Examinations will take its place. The National Level Test application number, as supplied by the relevant national test conducting body, must be accurately entered by applicants in the online University Application form.

Note: Applicants for non-CET programmes, such as B.Tech programmes, must complete the common registration form and provide the results of their national level exams.

The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) administers the Manipal Entrance Test (MET), an online exam, to candidates in order to offer them admission to a variety of Manipal University courses. Manipal University Online Entrance Exam (MU-OET), formerly known as the Manipal Entrance Test (MET), is a requirement for admission to a number of UG and PG programmes, including BBA, B.Pharm, B.A., B.Tech, M.Tech, M.E, M.Pharm, M.Sc., and many more. 

Each of the two MET 2024 attempts will have a designated time slot. Those who registered for the initial attempt are eligible to reserve a spot for the follow-up effort. Candidates may seek for a second chance at the MET if they are dissatisfied with their performance on the first try. 

The Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM) is regarded by some sources as Kolkata's top engineering college. The 1989-founded private college IEM grants UG, PG, and PhD degrees. It is accredited by NAAC with an A grade and is connected to AICTE, UGC, and MAKAUT.

ABP Networks named the IEM-UEM Group (Institute of Engineering & Management, University of Engineering & Management) the "Outstanding Institute for Engineering and Management Placements 2023". The IEM-UEM Group was listed by Times Ranking in Times of India in 2023 as one of West Bengal's best engineering institutes. 

Some claim that IEM is well-known for its placements and courses. It provides courses in mechanical, computer science, and civil engineering, among other subjects.

For 2023, Tolani Maritime Institute (TMI) will accept a minimum of 27 out of 60 marks for the B. Tech degree. In order to be admitted, applicants must additionally:

Possess a minimum of 60% in maths, chemistry, and physics (PCM).

Possess a minimum of 50% in English from either Class X or Class XII.

Possess a current MUCET Score Pass PCM 12+ with at least a 75 percent proportion.
