The following are the 2022 placement statistics for B.Tech and M.Tech programs:

B.Tech Placements: In 2022, INR 6 LPA was the highest package offered during B.Tech placements. In the same year, the average package for placements of B.Tech students was INR 3.00 LPA. M.Tech Placements: In 2022, INR 5.5 LPA was the highest package offered during M.Tech placements. In the same year, the average package for M.Tech  was INR 3.60 LPA. The average package for M.Tech placements is slightly higher than that of B.Tech placements, however the top package is significantly lower than the latter. Therefore, the decision between the B.Tech and M.Tech degrees should be dependent on each student's unique professional aspirations, as both programs appear to offer competitive placement prospects.

Pursuing M.Tech after completing a degree in B.Tech gives students the opportunity to get hired in reputed companies and earn more salary as compared to the students getting a job after completing their graduation in engineering. M.Tech offers good scope for research, and students get a chance to contribute to society. At the same time, M.Tech graduates can fit in professor roles in universities and colleges across the country after attaining necessary higher qualifications.

BITS Goa admission to BE are based on Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) scores followed by BITSAT Counselling. For BITSAT Counselling 2023 seven iteration rounds have been held. BIT Pilani, the conducting body of BITSAT has released the final BITSAT cutoff for BITS Goa. As per the cutoff 2023, the final BITSAT cutoff for B.E. in Computer Science is 295, which has the most competitive score of all specialisations. Since 2021, BE in CS has witnessed a fluctuation trend in the final BITSAT cutoffs. For 2022, the cutoff was 286 and for 2021, it was 328 for the General category All India candidates. Every year, the cutoff for BITSAT changes depending upon various factors. In order to be eligible for BE CS at BITS Goa candidates must have a range of 390 score and cutoff between 286 and 328.
