Madras University offers Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) admissions through TNEA scores. Candidates who meet the cutoff are called for the round-wise TNEA counselling. As per Madras University cutoff 2021, the TNEA closing rank for Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) was 613 for General category All India Quota candidates. M Tech admission selection is only through GATE. M Des admission selection is through GATE/CEED followed by a Design Aptitude Test and interview; M Mgt admission selection is through GATE/GMAT/CAT followed by a group discussion and interview.

After screening based on the GATE/CEED scores, design aptitude test, and interview will be conducted by the department. Selection will be based on performance in the written test and interview. Weightage will be 70% for GATE/CEED score and 30% for the test/interview.
