CUSAT conducts CAT (Common Admission Test) for admissions to programmes like Law, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Marine Sciences, Humanities, Science, Medical Sciences & Technology, and Social Sciences and Technology. CUSAT CAT is a computer-based test. The multiple-choice questions (MCQs) are asked in the exam. Candidates can take this test by applying online through the university website. The CUSAT CAT 2025 exam date will be released along with the official brochure. Candidates who will appear for the exam must refer to the CUSAT 2025 syllabus and exam pattern for their preparations.

Candidates seeking admission shall apply for GATE through the COAPS portal and take the entrance exam. Candidates with a Bachelor’s or an equivalent degree in an appropriate branch of Engineering of a minimum four-year duration with 60% aggregate (55% for SC/ST/PwD) can apply. The students shortlisted based on GATE score are further required to appear for CCMT counselling following which the seat allotment is carried out.

The eligibility and admission criteria of GITAM University for B.Tech are given below :-

  • Eligibility: Minimum 60% (55% for CBSE/ICSE) aggregate marks in Intermediate or 10+2 with PCM subjects.
  • Admission criteria: GITAM Admission Test (GAT) or JEE Main or Andhra Pradesh EAPCET/ TS EAMCET.

Depends upon the colleges. However this is one time chance of two consecutive attempts to clear backlogs is applicable to only those students who have completed the UG engineering course in full time mode.

Yes, it is possible to get admission to Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) without GUJCET. The university offers admission to undergraduate courses through JEE Main scores. Candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination with at least 45% aggregate and have a valid JEE Main score are eligible for admission to the B.Tech program at PDEU. The merit list for admission to the B.Tech program at PDEU shall be based on the rank/marks obtained in JEE (Main).
