Engineering

The MEng course at University of Leicester is a 4-year program. The Institution of Engineering and Technology, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, and the Institute of Measurement and Control all accredit all of their Mechanical Engineering degrees. The MEng fulfils the Engineering Council's academic criteria, allowing you to become a Chartered Engineer (CEng). It is ranked #217 Global Universities By - US News & World Report 2023.

LPU ranked 50th in Engineering stream, as per the Ministry of education government of India, among private and government universities under NIRF. . 

The eligibility of course is -  Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2   (with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST*.For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium or an equivalent subject. 

Candidates should be familiar with GCET syllabus before and during preparation. By checking syllabus beforehand, they will be able to understand which subjects and topics have to be studied for entrance exam.

GCET paper will have objective questions. For each question, four options will be available. Candidates will have to select the correct answer and submit it.

In GCET, students do not have to complete each section of question paper in an allotted time. Exam has to be completed within 2 hours. No extra time will be given.

The authorities will conduct GCET in English language. No other language will be used to prepare the question paper of GCET. Candidates are advised to prepare themselves to attempt the examination is the official medium as prescribed by the authorities. In case of any problems during the examination, the candidates are requested to seek assistance from the invigilators present in the exam centre. Since the examination is an OMR-based test, the candidates will have to read the question and mark the correct answer out of the available options.

The Mangalore University CSE average package has yet to be officially released. However, the NIRF report 2024 incorporates the median package for PG (2-year) and MCA courses. The median package for PG (2-year) courses has been stagnant for 2022 and 2023, i.e. INR 4.50 LPA. For MCA, the median package stood at INR 7 LPA in 2022 and 2023.
