Thapar University offers a four-year full-time BE courses covering several specialisations, including Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering, among others. TIET BE admission is based on JEE Main scores, followed by an online counselling process. TIET BE cutoff 2023 has been released. As per Thapar University JEE Main Round 1 cutoff 2023, candidates securing a rank betweeb 70000 and 85000 are eligible to get a seat a at TIET for BE in Electrical and Computer Engineering programme. 

Talking about Thapar University previous year cutoff for Electrical and Computer Engineering, the JEE Main Round 1 closing rank was 14289 in 2021 for the General category student. 

Any student can avail only one scholarship or financial benefit at a time. Student can choose the more beneficial among the available. Those students who are availing the free (Non-paying) University hostel are not eligible for any other free ship, scholarship, either from the University or Government.

1. Government of India Post-Metric Scholarships are available to Karnataka students belonging to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes. The SC/ST candidates (Allotted to affiliated Government Colleges) within Karnataka and whose parents annual income is less than or equal to 2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lacs fifty thousand only) are eligible to claim the Day Scholarships /Hostel Scholarships from the Social Welfare Department.

Conditions of Eligibility

Candidates who after passing one stage of education are studying in the same stage of education in different subject will not be eligible.

VI. “Hon’ble Vice Chancellor’s Merit Scholarship” was implemented for meritorious students (1^st to 5^th Ranks) who come under Below Poverty Line as defined by the Government of Karnataka. This scholarship is of Rs. 500/- each per month for 10 months for each year, to each Department of Bangalore University, Bangalore. BPL as defined by Government orders from Government of Karnataka. Application forms to be procured from Director of Student Welfare Office and should be forwarded by the head of the Department enclosing relevant income certificate and BPL card signed by the concerned Government authority. Students coming under payment category, Self financing course and those who are admitted for second PG Course are not eligible for this Scholarship, an Affidavit to be enclosed declaring that they are not Double PG and not coming under payment category, Self Financing course and those who are admitted for second PG Course are not eligible for this Scholarship. Students who have claimed any other scholarships are not only eligible for this scholarship. This scholarship is administered by the University.

Dayalbagh Educational Institute usually concludes the BTech application process in April. Candidates aspiring to be admitted to Dayalbagh Educational Institute BTech courses must apply through the university’s official website.

Besides filling the application form for the BTech programme at DEI, candidates also appear for the JEE-Main exam because DEI accepts admission in its BTech courses based on the candidate’s performance in the JEE-Main exam. Candidates having valid JEE-Main rank can register for the counselling process. The counselling process involves filling BTech branch preferences, document verification, and fee payment.
