Chitkara University does not provide any aditional entrance examination for addmition. There are two main criterias for B.Tech. First of all, the candidates must pass their 10+2 with a minimum of 60% marks of the total marks (mandatory subjects are Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) in any stream.And secondly candidates are required to appear in national-lavel entrance examination, for example JEE Main (mandatory for 2023 batch).

The cutoff trend for B.Tech at IIT Tirupati - Indian Institute of Technology has been increasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 10743. In 2022, it increased to 12187. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 4094 to 4214 for OBC, 2187 to 2175 for SC, 2187 to 1039 for ST, 1564 to 2000 for EWS.
