For last year, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Biological Science and Bioengineering was 7309 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in IIT Kanpur - Indian Institute of Technology.

The cutoff trend for BTech at IIT Kanpur has been decreasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for BTech under General category for all India quota was 4649. In 2023, it decreased to 4344. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 2034 to 2208 for OBC, 1281 to 1139 for SC, 678 to 706 for ST, 762 to 758 for EWS. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

You can apply for B-Category seats in colleges like CBIT, VNR, VASAVI… but these seats are only based on your Jee Mains crl. And other way is through Management, that is, buying of seat in a college.

B.Tech DS from IIT Roorkee is the good option against the Dual degree from IIT Mumbai. However if your son is interested in research and higher studies, then can go for IIT Mumbai for dual degree course.

You can enjoy as much of as you can in MVSR. It gives you enormous freedom and provides a great platform to explore you in any field that you like (i.e. music, dance or sports). You make some good friends here and of course you roam every corner of the college campus. There is one main fest conducted by mvsr management every year SANGAMAM or SAMVARDHAN (followed alternatively). There will be ethnic day, DJ nights, dandiya events, individual branch fest and many more every year ( but please don’t expect any big celebrities as chief guest.

This college simply just showcase n advertise all things in public. But its just a normal engineering college with normal facilities. No improvements during my batch in results percentage. Placement wise they provide only for non arrear candidates., also recruiters are also less and from not good core companies. Just an engineering college, it's money from people. Even they didn't return full amount of caution deposit to everyone. Professors are appointed thriugh degree wise and experience only, not about their knowledge. So they just take a subject by their knowledge, even they don't provide proper guide students to do projects
