For 2022 academic year, the cut off was 25202 for General category candidates in All India quota for BTech in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering in IIEST Shibpur. For female candidates in General category under All India quota, 36151 was the closing rank. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

To get B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering you should clear the CET Exam through Cap Round Admission  with Less than 30% marks in MHT CET 40+ percentile in 12th Class and without cap, you can get admission by giving fees at College for that course DPCOE  Also has separate Classroom for Mechanical Engineering students from FY to B Tech so students can take admission of they want.Also there is a Hostel Facility so that students can live there if anyone is staying far away from their homes. But there separate Fees for Hostel. The Fees is around 60-80K for the duration till College completion.

IIEST Shibpur BTech cutoff 2026 for the Aerospace Engineering specialisations in round 1 was 31402 for the General AI category. In 2025 and 2024, the first round cutoff was 27707 and 28523, respectively. This difference in the ranks says that the competition has been fluctuating over the past 3 years for this category.

BIT Mesra cutoff 2023 was 24192 for General category candidates in All India quota for BTech in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. BIT Mesra admission to BTech course is based on JEE Main scores followed by JoSAA Counselling and further followed by CSAB Counselling. Candidates seeking admission to BTech at BITS Mesra must appear for JEE Main. 

Further for female candidates in general category under All India quota admission was closed. The BTech cut off for Birla Institute of Technology Mesra varies depending on the category and domicile/ quota of the applicant.

IIEST Shibpur - Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology will release 6-8 rounds of JEE Main cutoffs for admission to B.Tech. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs will be based on the following factors:

  • The JEE Main score of the candidate
  • The category of the candidate
  • The number of seats available in the course

Candidates must visit the official website of entrance exam to read clear instructions on how to proceed with the counselling process, once the round is released.

The Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For General category under all India, opening rank was 10576 and closing rank was 14054. Cut offs are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 17061 and 18915. Admission to BTech in Computer Science and Technology in IIEST Shibpur - Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.
