I suggest that you research the colleges and courses you are interested in and check their eligibility criteria, cut-off marks, and admission process. This will give you a better idea of your chances of getting admission t

Most colleges and universities in India admit students based on their performance in entrance exams such as JEE, NEET CAT etc. The higher the admission percentile, the better the chances of securing admission to a good college or university. Your rank of 162772 in JEE Main indicates that it may be difficult for you to get admission into IIITs or GFTIs based on your rank alone. However, it's important to keep in mind that the cutoff for admission to different colleges varies each year based on several factors such as the difficulty level of the exam, the number of students appearing for the exam, and the number of available seats. You can check the previous years' cutoff ranks for IIITs and GFTIs to get an idea of the minimum rank required for admission. Additionally, you may also want to consider applying to other engineering colleges based on your JEE Main rank and your p

Deepika Reddy Mandapati, your ranking at just above 51000 is perhaps a bit on the lower side. Not only in VIT in any other engineering College the first preference of students is this branch and as a result of this admissions close at a very high ranking.
