Let me explain it to you. Every University has a right to determine the syllabus and the contains of the course that it wants to conduct for the students. Of course University is need to take permission and approval of UGC before start of any such course. In spite of this the net result is that different universities have different contains even though sometimes the name of the subject may be same or similar. Not only in VIT in any other engineering College the first preference of students is this branch and as a result of this admissions close at a very high ranking.
