1- Railways- There are many jobs in Indian Railways for Mechanical Engineers the recruitment for which is conducted by Railway Recruitment Board. The list of some important position for Mechanical Engineers are:

3- Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Airforce-
UES: This is a University Entry Scheme exam and only final year students are eligible to apply. CDS Union Public Service Commission UPSC conducts Combined Defense Services CDS examination twice a year for the recruitment of officers into Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and Indian Air Force Academy. 5- Staff selection commission- This is one of the high paying jobs in the government sector. As SSC recruits graduates for the Class-II, III & IV posts Officer/Official in various ministries & departments.

First of all, I Congratulate you for getting a good rank in JEE Mains. As you live in Goa, a good option for you is by grabbing the benifit of Home State Quota in NIT Goa. You can get a very good branch like ECE or EEE in NIT Goa if you have opted for it. So there is a possibility of getting CSE Branch in lower NITs only. You can easily get these branches in CSAB Special Rounds if you have missed these branches in JoSAA Councelling.
Whereas getting CSE Branch might be slightly difficult but still you have a chance of getting CSE in moderate NITs only in CSAB Special Rounds provided there are vacant seats still remaining in CSE Branches of these NITs.
