For getting into PSUs with GATE Electronics and Communication Engineering you need to get a rank below 200. And for this rank, you must score at least 750 in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering exam.

It depends on your interests and what you want for a career. If you choose a PSU, you will receive a decent package ranging from INR 10 LPA to INR 30 LPA as well as a secure job, but your career growth will be limited. PSUs for ECE engineers are AAI, BARC, BBNL, BEL BEML, BHEL, BSNL JTO, CEL, DMRC DRDO, ECIL, HAL, IOCL, ISRO, MDL, NTPC, NHPC, NLC, OMPL, etc. On the other side, if you pursue M.Tech from any top IITs, NITs, or other government colleges, you will have more exposure in your field.
