Dear aspirant, Computer Engineering is the study of programming and computing. A degree in computer engineering gives you the foundational skills needed to pursue a career in coding or computer programming. It gives you a good understanding of the theory behind the processes involved in creating computer programs and applications. Information Technology is the practical application of technology. A degree in IT engineering gives you knowledge of managing the company IT infrastructure and assets. Information Technology degree programs don't give you a detailed understanding of programming but they help you learn basic programming. Going forward, you can choose to specialise in areas such as database management, networking, or security. IT and CS degrees can lead to similar jobs but the differences between the two are quite pronounced. A computer scientist should enjoy mathematics and software design whereas an IT professional should enjoy installing computer systems, using software and maintaining networks and databases. In general, the relationship between the two is quite close and interdependent.

Dear aspirant, I would suggest you to go by Computer Science stream rather than IT. We have observed that IT students find it hard to get their first job entry compared to computer Science students. Observation is that IT students cannot pursue many of the higher studies that are available for Computer Science students. Please understand that these two courses, through related to computers, are not the same. In fact, you can take up the jobs available in IT sector with a computer Science graduation but the vise-versa is not possible. So, my good word is to go by computer Science. Most of the experts say, there is no difference between CS and IT. It is just that CS is taught as an Engineering level course in major Universities. In case if your choice is Computer Science, then you must take up Mathematics and Science in high level to require Computer Knowledge. Hope it helps.
