The US News has ranked Erasmus University Rotterdam #76 in 2025 which is a decline in rank from what it was in the last year. Look at the given observations -

  • Also, a constant decline in the rankings can be observed from last three years.
  • These EUR rankings have been released under the Global Universities of the world.

Yes, Medicine is a popular and highly ranked course at Erasmus University Rotterdam. As per the QS Rankings, the Rotterdam Medicine is ranked #51 in 2026 (it has declined, but is still popular). The Times Higher Education has ranked these courses at #52 in the world.

Indians go for these courses for the following reasons -

Erasmus University Rotterdam is itself a highly ranked among the top universities in the world. The best EUR courses available are Business & Management and Economics programs.

The reason being, the programs are offered by its highly ranked Rotterdam School of Management and Erasmus School of Economics.

In general, it is not really allowed for Indian students to get an English langauge waiver just because they studied in an English medium school. Given below are the instructions - 

  • Most of the courses require students to have IELTS, TOEFL or PTE coming from non-native English speaking countries. 
  • There may be exceptions based on what degrees you possess.

Yes, there are some limited options available at Erasmus University Rotterdam available in January/February which is the Spring intake

However, as mentioned this intake is limited and the September intake is the most important intake when most of the EUR courses are offered.

As per the official website of Erasmus University Rotterdam, this university generally takes around 6 to 8 weeks to process the applications of Indian students, given that it was complete. Look at the admission timelines - 

  • For most of the Bachelor's programs available at this university, the early applicants receive decisions around Feb 15
  • The later applicants can hear back from the university by May 31
