Yes, a 17 year old can give the IPMAT exam. The maximum age limit to be eligible to appear for the IPMAT Indore exam is 20 years as on July 31, of the given year. There is a relaxation in the age limit for the reserved category students. The candidates belonging to the General or NC-OBC category must be a maximum of 20 years and the students belonging to other reserved categories can be a maximum of 22 years in the admission year.

Including this, the students should also fulfil the academic IPMAT eligibility criteria to be able to take the IPMAT exam and IPM Admissions.

The competitiveness of Hotel Management entrance exams, particularly the NCHMCT JEE is quite high, as it is a national level exam for reputed and government hospitality colleges in India like IHMs. Plus, the limited seats in IHMs makes it even more competitive.

The high competition for NCHMCT JEE can also be justified due to its high demand and diverse syllabus, but not necessarily extremely difficult.
