The University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore used to set a 3000-4000 rank cutoff for the general category students according to past-year data during admission. The College of Horticulture Mysore together with other similar institutions maintained cutoff ranks in this range. The admission to private schools and universities is possible through ranges of annual fees from INR 50,000 to INR 1.5 lakhs.

Students who participate in the SRMJEEE exam gain admission to SRM Institute of Science and Technology's undergraduate engineering programs at their seven campuses and access to scholarship awards that reward top performing students.
