Ideally, applicants can register for the GMAT between 6 months and 24 hours before the planned date for taking the exam, irrespective of the mode. Since it is difficult to get an exam slot at the last hour, it is better to register for GMAT exam around 2-3 monhs before the exam date if registering for GMAT at test centre. Following this rule will help students avoiding the last minute registrations for GMAT.

What is common between the GMAT at the test centre and online is the:

  • GMAT exam eligibility, syllabus, structure, preparation and registration are the same for both these modes of GMAT exams.
  • The costs for rescheduling or cancelling the GMAT are also the same for both modes of the exam.
  • GMAT scores, GMAT score reports and up to 5 free score reports are also the same.
  • Plus, the unoffical GMAT scores also reflect on the screen temporarily for both test centre and online test takers of GMAT.
