The SSC CGL exam has no sectional cutoff. The SSC CGL cutoff is influenced by the number of SSC CGL vacancies. A higher number of vacancies implies a low cutoff at each stage of the exam. The candidates will be required to check the category cutoff and compare it with their marks as mentioned in the SSC CGL Scorecard. The SSC CGL Cut-Off indicates the minimum score required to advance to the next step of the recruiting process. Along with the cut-off, the commission also releases the number of candidates qualified for the next round of the selection process as well as the category-specific passing grades.

The Assistant Audit Officer (AAO) post group has the highest cutoff among all because of the popularity and competition of these SSC CGL posts and less number of vacancies. The SSC CGL Assistant Audit Officer is a Group B position within the Indian Audit and Accounts Department under C and AG, and uniquely, it is the sole gazetted post filled through the SSC CGL examination and entrance process. The Commission conducted the SSC CGL 2024 from September 09 to 26, 2024. The Commission will release the SSC CGL Tier 1 answer key (tentative) soon on its official website - ssc.gov.in under the candidate's login.
