Seeing last year's cutoff students who scored more than 980 marks got the seat and your JEE percentile would also be not that great so you won't get the admission into sastra University.

If you want to get top branches then you should go for the 2nd tier NITs like NIT Durgapur, NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Bhopal etc. If you want to get into top NITs the you should go for NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, NIT Rourkela etc. These are the few top NITs in India. Every college has its respective cutoffs for admission and students can take admission on the basis of that. Each college will release it's cutoff for COMEDK after each round of councelling. The cutoff depends on certain factors such as overall exam difficulty, number of students appeared in the exam and qualified and number of seats available in the participating college . Since you have not mentioned your category so consider it as general. You might not get the excellent colleges of your expectations but on such percentile and category, you have some chances of getting some colleges through MHT CET counseling according to the previous year's cut-off. You can try and apply to these colleges if you are genuinely interested in engineering.
1. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Institute of Technology, Shedung, Panvel
2. Dr. D. Y. Patil School OF Engineering, Lohegaon, Pune
3. Vidyavardhini's College of Engineering and Technology, Vasai
