While the top NITs, GFTs, IIITs might be difficult to get into with this rank, you may still have a chance at some of the less popular ones. Many state engineering colleges accept JEE main scores for admission. You might have a chance at these colleges depending on the specific cutoffs. Many private colleges accept JEE main scores. The rank of 5800 JEE Mains might get you a seat in some of the top NITs, depending on specific NIT and the branch availability. NIT is a government recognised institute which might help you secure better positions in future. You must consider your choice on the basis of the branch you would persue. On the other hand IIIT Banglore being a private institue may lack in teaching infrastructure in making students industry ready.
