Candidates should be a minimum of 18 of age in order to be eligible to apply for the KARTET exam. There is no upper age limit for the KARTET exam. The educational qualification to apply for the KARTET exam has been given below for the candidates:

Primary

  • Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education
  • Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd)

No, WB SET (West Bengal State Eligibility Test) does not follow any negative marking scheme. The counting of marks is basd on the correct answers given by the candidate and no marks are deducted for the incorrect answers. The marking scheme for the WB SET exam has been given below:

  • Marks for the correct answers:+2 marks 
  • Marks for the incorrect answers: 0 marks
