Eligibility criteria for UGC NET exam
Candidate must have completed a Master's degree or equivalent from a recognised university with at least 55% marks for the General category and 50% for reserved categories. For the post of JRF, the age limit for the test is 30 years for the General category.

Candidates need to follow the guidelines for RRB NTPC exam:
- Candidates should reach RRB NTPC exam centre at least an hour before the exam commences
- They must carry all the required documents while appearing for the exam
- Candidates should not carry any electronic gadget inside the examination hall

The West Bengal Public Service Commission have a discretion to fix the minimum qualifying marks in all or any paper/subject and in the aggregate. The Commission will not mention it in the official notification. The Commission is expected to release the WBCS 2025 (2024 session) notification soon on its official website - psc.wb.gov.in.
The Commission is expected to conduct the WBCS 2025 exam in November/December.

The travel allowance is offered to SC/ST candidates. Those availing the travel allowance are required to produce their admit cards for RPF SI exam. Candidates need to download their admit cards online by logging with the required credentials.

The WBCS prelims exam pattern is expected to be changed and there will be two multiple choice objective type question papers in the WBPSC 2025 prelims exam. There is a provision of negative marking in the prelims exam as well. The quantum of negative marking will be mentioned in the question paper.
The WBCS 2025 notification is expected to be released soon by the West Bengal Public Service Commission.

In the WBPSC WBCS exam, there are eight papers. These papers include:
- Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali/Santali.
- English.
- General Studies - I.
- General Studies - II.
- The Constitution of India and Indian Economy including the role and functions of the Reserve Bank of India.
- Arithmetic and Test of Reasoning.
- Optional Subject - 1 subject to be chosen; 2 papers of 200 marks each.
- Personality Test.

RPF SI exam centres are released along with the notification. Candidates can select three exam cities while filling the application form. The exam centres should be selected carefully by candidates. The exam centres selected by candidates cannot be changed. The details regarding the exam centres are mentioned in the admit card.

The WBCS main exam is mix of objective and descriptive type papers. The Commission mentions in the official notification that all the compulsory papers will be objective type and the optional subjects are descriptive type papers.
The candidates need to select one optional subject from the given list of optional subjects and prepare according to the syllabus of each paper.
