Yes, if you received a 75 percentile on the CAT, you are eligible to apply to the Vidyalankar School of Business MBA programme. The CAT is one of many indicators considered in the admissions process at Vidyalankar School of Business. Your undergraduate GPA and work experience are also taken into account. To be considered for admission to VSB, a minimum CAT score of 70–80 is required. The actual cut-off score will ultimately depend on the volume of applications and calibre of the candidate pool. The process is first you have to give the CAT exam and score a minimum score and it varies for different institutions ranging from 99 percentile for top IIMs and between 60 to 80 percentile for tier 3 institutions. The rounds for the same include ability test, group discussion and at last personal interview and one has to clear all the exams. A good CAT score is essential for admission for top MBA colleges.

The CLAT entrance exam is approved as a valid admission exam by NLU Assam. CLAT 2023 was finished after Round 5 for admission to the BA LLB and LLM degrees. According to the NLUJAA cutoff 2023, the most recent round closing rank for BA LLB (Hons) was 2569, and for LLM, it was 2621. The NLUJAA cutoff for BA LLB in 2023 closed at 2271, slightly higher than the cutoff in 2022, which closed at 1765, based on the CLAT cutoff for the preceding three years. After Round 1, NLUJAA closing ranks were increasing for both BA LLB (Hons) and LLM programmes, based on a comparison of the rounds.

The Entrance exam for the Bcom LLB (Hons) and BA LLB (Hons) Programme is PU UGLAW and for the LLM programme it is based on PU-CET (PG) . 

Students must have minimum 50% marks in Class 12th Examination and Entrance examinations .

IBS Dehradun accepts entrance exams scores from management exams such as CAT, XAT, CMAT or GMAT and NMAT by GMAC. However final selection is based on the performance in GD and Personal interview. These exams are conducted by different organizations, and the minimum score requirements for each exam are as follows:
CAT: Minimum score requirement is 90 percentile and above (75th percentile)
GMAT: Minimum score requirement is 550 and above (25th percentile)
XAT: Minimum score requirement is 80 percentile and above (75th percentile)
NMAT by GMAC: Minimum score requirement is 225 and above (60th percentile)
