You will not be eligible for admission as preparatory ranks are not considered under round 1. Since you have already qualified to appear for JEE (Advanced), all you need to do is meet the second criterion and apply for round 2, which will be only conducted if seats from round 1 remain vacant.

No, JEE Main is not mandatory for UPES Dehradun BTech admission. While the university accepts the scores of the exam, it is not the only accepted exam. Students can also submit scores of UPESEAT/ SAT India/ CUET exams for BTech admission.

Candidates still looking to register for an entrance exam for Jindal School of Liberal Arts and Humanities BA (Hons) admissions should consider factors such as:

Expected number of applicants from that exam.
Syllabus of the exam.
Additional benefits of the entrance exam score.

Candidates are recommended to apply for JSAT to gain admission at Jindal School of Liberal Arts and Humanities BA (Hons) course as the scores of that exam are also considered for the MCM scholarship.

Yes, you can still get admission in Round 2 if you meet eligibility criteria to appear in JEE (Advanced) and have a valid JEE (Mains) rank. Also, you must have scored 60% or above in class 12th. For SC/ST/PwD category students, 55% or above is required.
