If you are a fresher, you cannot go for an Executive MBA, as they require a minimum work experience of 2 years (in case of IIM's) and pretty much in case of every b-school.
You can go for a regular MBA from a good B-school or you can get a job and start preparation for an executive MBA from a good B-school. Both will give you fruitful results only if you do it from top 30 b-schools in India.

Executive MBA by IIMs are one year residential course. Admission is based on GMAT score. You are advised to take one year education leave from your employer to do EMBA.

Every college has its own criteria. However, minimum 5 years of experience is mandatory and minimum 50% graduation marks for admissions into executive MBA.

Executive MBA are done by people who have work experience of minimum 2 years (in case of most B-schools) and minimum 5 years (In case of ISB, Hyderabad). With minimum 2 years of experience, you can do Executive MBA from almost all IIM's, SP Jain, IIT's, Great lakes, XLRI etc.

If you have a work experience of above 4 years, then executive MBA is a better option. If the work experience is less than 4 years or you are a fresher, then normal 2 year MBA is a better option.
