The university has 42 seats for the LLM course. Faculty of Law, CU LLM seat allotment process is carried out through e-counselling. The seats are allotted based on the applicants scores in the CULET-UG examination. It must be noted that the mentioned seat intake is as per the official website/sanctioning body. The admission to the LLM programme is done on the basis of applicants scores in the Calcutta University Law Entrance Test (CULET-UG) scores. Candidates seeking admission are thus required to register and apply to take the test. Before filling out the form, aspirants must check out the eligibility requirements. Candidates who get shortlisted based on exam score have to participate in the e-counselling round. In this round, the seat allotment is done followed by which the fee payment can be done for admission confirmation.

In order to submit the application form successfully, candidates are required to pay the application fee amount. Faculty of Law, University of Calcutta LLM application fee is INR 500 for the general and EWS category candidates.
