Hi Sail, Lovely Professional University is offering Diploma in Fashion programme. The eligibility of Diploma in fashion design is Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10th (with English) or equivalent. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants. Fashion Design and Fashion Technology are both important aspects of fashion industry. There is, however, a fundamental difference between the two fields. Fashion Design mostly deals with creation of design and dress material from available fabrics. Fashion Technology deals with the Science of creating fabric from available material. Your question is very relevant to the students planning for an undergraduate programme. While B.Des in Fashion Design is a 4 year degree programme, a BBA course is of 3 years duration in most universities and colleges.
