To step in the field of fashion designing, and take admission for undergraduate programmes, it is necessary to have a minimum of 55% marks in class 12th. Most college have 55% marks as the eligibility criteria to take admission, but there may be some private colleges having a less cut off. So, you may try there.

There are very less colleges offering distance learning in fashion designing. One can do so on his/her willingness, but it is always beneficial to go for full time classrooms, as this course is full of practical work and requires daily attention.

Dear Dhaval,
Unfortunately, the minimum eligibility for undergraduate course in this field is "10+2" with 50% marks and for post graduate courses graduation. In the prominent institutes, admission is strictly on merit-based through written test, situation test, group discussion and interview.

In B.Sc, you have various courses like B.Sc Computer Science, Maths, and Biochemistry. And in fashion designing, you have B.Sc Fashion designing and B.Des. As both are different streams, you can become a good fashion designer after completing fashion designing. Whereas, if you choose B.Sc courses specializations, you can work according to the course you choose. So, let me tell you B.Sc is a branch in which various courses are available. And, fashion is different field. So, it is up to you, which one you want to choose.

Admission is based on the rank/ score/ marks obtained in 10+2. Basic Eligibility to pursue this course is that Candidate must have passed 10+2 from any recognized board. Eligible candidates can apply online or offline with required information. Regards.

Admission guidelines to pursue graduation in fashion designing:
Admission for PG Diploma in Fashion Designing course is based on merit-list or entrance-exam. Many colleges select candidates through merit-list prepared by a university for this course admission. Some of the reputed institutes conduct entrance examination along with a personal interview for selecting candidates for course admission.
Some of the common entrance exams conducted by the colleges/universities are:
XAT
CAT
CMAT
GMAT
SOFT CET
Entrance exams may vary from one institute to another. Few colleges directly admit students for this course admission.
