October 20, 2017.
Last date of NIFT application form 2018:
December 29, 2017.
Deadline for online registration with late fee of Rs.5000/- (in addition to the applicable fee paid via credit/debit card only)

In case of Demand Draft, the printout of application along with DD should reach before January 2, 2018.
Window to update/edit NIFT 2018 application form:
From December 30, 2017 (12:00 hours) till January 2, 2018 (1600 hours).
Availability of online admit card of NIFT 2018:
January 9, 2018.
NIFT entrance test 2018 (GAT and CAT)
January 21, 2018.
NIFT result 2018 (declared): March 22, 2018.
Situation Test/Group Discussion/Interview: April-May 2018.
Declaration of the final result (online): End of May/June 2018.
NIFT counselling process: End of May/June 2018 onwards.

So, there are n number of fashion institutes across India among all NIFTs is a well-known institute and also is an autonomous body. It has 16 branches all over India and most of them provide sufficient placements and there are eligibility criteria which you have to follow. Other than NIFT, there many other fashion institutes i.e Pearl Academy which is among top 5 institutes in India and contains 97% placement, here are also some requirements which you have to fulfil. SID ( Symbiosis Institute of Design), MIT-Pune and Ujjain. So, I suggest you first prepare for NIFT and once you get the experience, you are well prepared for other institute exams.

Well, you have to give good amount of time for NIFT preparation. Revise all basic Maths formulae, and practice questions, which will help you solve many class 10th level Maths questions. Be updated with current GK, not only national level, but with international events as well. Good vocabulary will score you much more. I would suggest, English is the main part of the paper that helps in scoring the most, so improve English grammar and vocabulary. You should have the basic knowledge related to history, geography, economics, and general Science up till class 10th. Go for aptitude books. Apart from this, you can download sample question papers online related to the drawing part, I. e, the CAT. It does't matter if you are not very good at drawing, what matters is your idea and concept you put into your sketch. You're given marks on how far you can think out of box. So practise this as well. And you still find difficult to decide how and what to prepare, go for any design coaching. All the best.
