The basic requirement to get a job as Textile Engineer is to undergo a Bachelor Degree of Engineering in the same. Apart from educational qualifications, candidates must possess skills in designing and developing new innovations in the textile industry. Higher degree programs like M. Tech or M.E in Textile Engineering and PhD programs in the same area also available in Textile Engineering. Key differences between Textile engineer and Fashion designer
The job profile of textile engineer is not restricted to a particular aspect of the textile industry. The job of a Fashion designer is restricted to the specific area of coming out with new designs in clothes, shoes and so on.
Fashion designers should possess creative and artistic approach to their work where as Textile Engineers should be more exposed to technical aspects of their job.

CAT is the most important part of the question paper. Start sketching and develop your own style of sketching and coloring. I cannot stress this enough. Good drawing skills are very important. How you present/draw your ideas is just as important as the idea itself.Keep reading the newspaper (especially around November-December) it'll help you in GK part of GAT and help you generate better ideas. Most questions in CAT are related to current scenarios. For example- Make in India was started in late 2014 and in the 2015 entrances hey had asked the students to make a mascot and a poster to promote the same. Based on the happenings and big stories in the media, plan and create small sketches. This was you'll save time on thinking during the actual exams. Go through various artists on social medias, movies, art galleries etc to find inspiration. Go through question papers from the previous years and see what kind of questions they ask. Start solving these question papers in the given time and work on pacing yourself
For that, you can pick up any reference book. maths, logic and English are mostly what you've learned in school but it's better to revise. Keep solving the previous question papers so you can get in to the habit of thinking along those lines.

Both fashion designing and interior designing have equal scope. In the near future, the demand of interior designers and fashion designers in India will increase by 18-20 percent and talking about the salary, it can be 2,50,000/- INR TO 12,00,000/- INR and above depending upon your work experience and PR with architects, builders, and other businessmen and clients and customers.
Interior designing is something which will provide you an opportunity to connect with the world, because there can be a lot of travelling, for a beginning, and later you can create your own setup when you get a good exposure in market.
While, Fashion designing may provide you with an opportunity to start with work at you own home too, you can open up your boutique in a free corner of your home even.
Another important difference between both is that interior designing is something more than just decorating a home or place, but you will also have to catch up with the builders and architects to know about how you will have to plan out for the designs, whereas fashion designing will lead you to practice your knowledge at clothes and fabrics, and their stitching mainly.
And, both the designing paths will give you a chance to enhance your creative skills and management skills, plus will help you earn a good PR (Public Relation) too.
And it will be better if you yourself too do a research about it (as I did, before opting interior designing as further career option), because you yourself know you better than anyone else, and thus, your own research will help you out better.
