Dear Shweta,
Yes, after doing diploma engineering from any college approved fron AICTE, you can get admission in B.Tech through lateral entry. Mostly, university conducts it's own entrance exam for lateral entry.

Hello Rashmi,
Fashion Designing is a very interesting field. If you are good or best at what you do you will become successful regardless of the field you choose. As a fashion designer, you can work with any fashion brand in India or any of the international fashion brands. You can also open your own business or online/offline boutique.
It is very important to go the right school to achieve what you want. You should try for NIFT (one of the best fashion Designing school in India). Among international schools, you can explore The Istituto Marangoni, Parsons and L'Institut Superieur Des Appliques.
All the best.

I am not sure but as far as I know you need a fashion design background like B.Sc in fashion design. For PG in fashion, I would advise that you explore courses Like MBA in fashion design and business management.

Hi Yasmin,
Interest plays a major role in one's life, this goes with everyone. If you are not interested in something you will never be able to give your best.
Both the fields are good, make her opt for the branch that she loves the most and is most passionate about and she should analyse the future work conditions, scope and growth prospects before taking admission.
She can also opt for psychometric test comprising of aptitude, personality and career interest to clear any sort of confusion.

Hi Dushyant,
Firstly, you need to figure out your career intentions. Universities would want to know why you want to pursue fashion designing after a commerce background and what led you to choose this field now. Universities will admit you only if you have a good justification to this. Note that you must also submit a portfolio. Share your work of art and creativity to the universities and email them for admission retirements. Though the requirements are mentioned on the websites, you have to get in touch with them.

Hi,
You can pursue B.Com through distance mode, if you are going to pursue fashion design program. As per UGC guidelines, a student can pursue 2 different programs from 2 different universities in 2 different modes (Distance and Regular).
All the best.
