To qualify the FMGE licensing exam you need to secure at least 50% of the marks of a total of 300 marks. This translates to 150 marks. 

  • Total Marks of FMGE licensing exam: 300
  • Number of Questions in the exam: 300 Multiple Choice Questions
  • Marks per Question: 1 mark 
  • Negative Marking: No

The NBEMS has released FMGE 2025 result date on the official notice. The authorities release the FMGE results 2025 on the official website at natboard (dot)edu (dot)in. The result of FMGE 2025 June session will be declared by August 26, 2025.  

 Applicants are advised to enter their login credentials while checking for the FMGE 2025 results.

Students can edit all the details excpet name, email, mobile, test city and nationality between the given time. After this, the correction in photograph, signature and thumb impression can be done between later on a given date. 

Only those candidates can edit their FMGE 2025 application form who filled the form successfully within time.

The FMGE 2025 registration started on April 28, 2025, at 3:00 PM in online mode at the official website. Students were given around a month to fill FMGE application form 2025. The last date to register for the FMGE 2025 was May 17, 2025

Students must note that last year's FMGE 2025 application fee was reduced in the June session; hence, now applicants had to pay INR 6,195 instead of INR 7,080.

It means that the results have not been posted due to discrepancies in the documents provided. the authorities will issue a notice regarding the candidates who need to submit their official documents again. Once the notice has been out and the link is out, you can fill the form again with care. Recheck the provided documents. After the checking your results will be released by the authorities.

FMGE exam is of moderate difficulty level as per the student reaction and expert exam analysis derived from top coaching institutes and the evaluators. A candidate need to focus on FMGE exam preparation around solving the multiple-choice questions. As there is no negative marking in the exam, this makes it easy for candidates to attempt the entire question paper. However, a minimum of 50% marks needs to be scored in order to receive the Pass Certificate from NBEMS

Candidates pursuing medical degree outside India, if wish to practice medicine profession in India can start preparing for the FMGE exam much before applying for it. There is no defined timeframe which a candidate need to prepare for the exam. The syllabus more or less remains the same and the topics are also covered in the syllabus which is taught at the MD level. FMGE screening test is sought after to seek the medical licensing to practice Doctoral profession in India. This mandates an aspirant to score minimum 50% marks to be able to pass the exam.

As per the NBE report on Institute wise performance in FMGE-2023, the FMGE passsing rate of MBBS students from Northern State Medical University is 18.77%. Of the 650 students who pursued MBBS from Northern State Medical University only 122 cleared the FMGE test in 2023. The FMGE passing rate is expected to increase from 2025 as most of the students who will give the exam from 2025 will be those who had qualified NEET exam because qualifying NEET was made compulsory for MBBS abroad in 2018.

Candidates must prepare topics such as Vital statistics, Neonatology, Growth & Development, Nutrition, Infections, Genetics, Pediatric Emergencies, Central Nervous System, Gastrenterology, Nephrology, Endocrinology, and Respiratory System from the FMGE Paediatrics subject before appearing for the medical screening test.
