Yes, Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) is a government institute.The Footwear Design & Development Institute was founded in 1986 by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Government of India. It has also been declared as the Institution of National Importance under the FDDI Act 2017. To get admission to this government college, candidates must have valid score in accepted entrance exam which is FDDI AIST.

The course aims at enhancing critical thinking, reasoning skills, and intellectual skills, particularly in the retail sector. Admission to the MBA is based on the All India Selection Test (AIST), which is conducted by the Insitute. Aslo candidates have to qualify the eligibility criteria: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from any Institute / University recognised by law in India.
