Industry visits can be quite useful for Galgotias students because they connect classroom concepts with how companies actually operate.
Students can observe real workplaces, manufacturing or technology processes, understand industry expectations, interact with professionals, and learn about potential career roles. For engineering and technology students, visits can also provide exposure to areas such as automation, software development, AI, manufacturing, and emerging technologies.
However, the value depends on how actively students participate. Asking questions, speaking with professionals, and connecting the visit to their career inter

IILM Greater Noida does provide decent industry exposure, especially through internships, workshops, guest lectures, live projects and interaction with professionals. What I personally like is that the environment is comparatively flexible, so students get time to explore things beyond academics as well.
Compared with GL Bajaj and Galgotias, all three have their own strengths. GL Bajaj has a strong placement-oriented environment, while Galgotias has a bigger student community and more activities. IILM is a good middle ground if you want academics, exposure and a less rigid college experience.
Of course, the opportunities are there, but h

If you're choosing between Galgotias University and Galgotias College, I'd lean towards Galgotias University. It offers more flexibility in CSE specialisations, a wider range of clubs and activities, and more opportunities for research, projects and industry exposure. For someone looking at overall college experience along with placements, Galgotias University would be my pick.

Galgotias University starts placement preparation early through skill-development sessions, aptitude and communication training, coding practice, internships, industry interactions and mock interviews. Students can also take part in projects, hackathons and technical clubs to build a stronger profile before placements. The idea is to gradually prepare students from the first year instead of waiting until the final year

I've had a fairly good experience with the faculty at Galgotias University. Most professors are approachable when you need help, whether it's clearing up a concept, discussing an assignment or getting some direction for a project. You can usually reach out to them outside the lecture as well. Obviously, the experience can vary from one professor to another, but I've found that faculty respond better when you take the initiative yourself. If you're curious about a topic and actually make the effort to learn, there are professors who are happy to guide you and point you towards better resources or opportunities.

Generally, there is some preparation time, but I wouldn't say there's always a long gap. Galgotias follows an academic calendar with separate dates for internal assessments/MTEs and end-term exams. For example, in the 2025–26 even semester, Internal Assessment Test-2 was scheduled for 25–29 May 2026, while ETEs were scheduled from 17 June to 8 July 2026, giving students some time between them.

Depends on the programme and admission type - some are merit-based (based on Class 12 percentage), others are entrance exam-based. I don't have the exact current cutoff percentages, so best to check the official Galgotias admission page for your specific course.

Genuinely approachable, in my experience - answer questions beyond class hours if you reach out, and a few even gave me practical mentorship during my startup journey. Quality can vary by department though, so not uniformly excellent across the board.

Galgotias has quite a few options for students interested in tech and innovation. TechnoJam, Cyber Cell, Robotics, and the Galgotias Tech Council are some good ones. Students can also take part in hackathons, coding challenges, workshops, and innovation events like Tech Conclave and HackMTMI.
