GATE Cut-off

The IISc Bangalore released the GATE 2024 cutoff along with the results. Students may take a look at the cutoff for different papers in the table given below to get an idea for the year 2025:

The qualifying cutoff is used to determine whether a candidate is eligible for admission to any postgraduate programme such as MTech and PhD, while the admission cutoff is used to select candidates for admission to a specific programme in a particular institute such as  IITs, NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs.

Moreover, The qualifying cutoff is determined by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc),  Bangalore,  while the admission cutoff is determined by the respective institute.

The NIT Allahabad GATE Cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 1. As per the Cutoff scores, the ranks ranged between 353 and 675 for different M.Tech courses, for the General AI category candidates. The most competitive course was M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, while the least competitive one was M.Tech in Material Science and Engineering. The cutoff for GATE 2024 was releases by the Indian Institute Of Sciences, Bangalore. Candidates can go to the official website to see the cutoff.

No, in fact a Candidate should note that if he or she is not sure about an answer to a question, they should surely try to avoid that question since there is a negative marking in the GATE examination. It is not mandatory to solve all the 65 questions and one must be totally sure while answering a question and not rely on the luck of guessing.

The GATE Cut Offs for 2024 have already been released by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore. However, to check the GATE 2025 cutoff marks, candidates have to follow the steps mentioned below -

1. Visit the official GATE website.
2. Look for a section titled "Results" or "GATE 2025 Cut-offs".
3. You might find separate links for downloading the cut-offs for different categories (e.g., General, OBC, SC/ST etc.) or for different streams (e.g., CS, ME, EE etc.).

IIT Kanpur accepts GATE scores for admission to the M.Tech course. As per the GATE COAP round 1 cutoff, the most competitive course was Microelectronics and VLSI with a closing rank of 935 for the General AII India category students. So, to secure a seat in IIT Kanpur, candidates must secure more than 900 for General AI category.

GATE cutoff is considered for admission to NIT Durgapur M.Tech programme. Candidates need to score equal or above GATE cutoff for admission to M.Tech programme. Below is NIT Durgapur GATE cutoff of past three years:

NIT Srinagar accepts GATE score, followed by the CCMT Counselling process for M.Tech admission. NIT Srinagar GATE cutoff 2024 has been concluded. As per the NIT Srinagar 2024 cutoff, the last round closing rank for M.Tech in Mechanical System Design was 359 for the General All India category students.
