Following is the eligibility criteria-
Chemistry for three years/six semesters
or
Candidates having a Bachelors degree without (Major/Honours) must have the concerned degree with (a) Chemistry as a subject for three years/six semesters, (b) Minimum 2 (Two) courses in Mathematics (c) Minimum 2 (Two) courses in Physics
or
In B.Sc. /BS, at least six Chemistry subjects for three years/six semesters. What this means is that candidates who want to appear for IIT JEE exam must qualify their 12th with 75 per cent marks which is for the General and OBC category while 65 per cent cutoff is set for other reserved categories like SC, ST, PwD.

Hello Ammaneengla, oh, no. One can get into PG course only in the stream that one clears in GATE. Your being graduate in mechanical engineering will not help. Best wishes to you.

Hello! Sonal, Yes, you can apply for M.Tech distance education with/ without a GATE 2018. Some of the Universities and institutes offer such a course for working professionals. Some of the colleges also accept work experience relevant to the field and offer a distance M.

You should have graduated with a full-time degree from any recognized University/Institute with a minimum aggregate of 60% or First class for M.Tech. Degree programmes. When you appear for their final degree exam / final semester exam in the current year are also eligible to apply. Yes, you are eligible for the M.Tech in Vit University.
