It depends on your interest. MBA or GATE both are good options. If you don't want to study technical after engineering, then you can go for MBA.

An interesting proposition indeed, but this year organiser does not answer this question. Maybe if the marks are not rounded-off then with so many fractions floating around, this situation may not arise practically.

As a general candidate you are advised to crack GATE to get HMRD stipend for pursuing M.Tech as most of the non-GATE scholarships or stipends are for reserved category students.

The cutoffs have seen drastic changes over the years. Still, going by the past data, it can be safely stated that if your score around 600, you will definitely get admission in the desired discipline.

GATE rank: GATE rank is also known as All India Rank (AIR). A candidate get his/her GATE rank only for his branch. For example: a candidate from electrical engineering will get GATE rank among all electrical engineers, who attended GATE exam of that particular year.
GATE score: GATE score is calculated out of 1000, while GATE marks are calculated out of 100. GATE score can be calculated using a formula, which is based on normalized marks.

If the circumstances of your life permit you to go for a job, then it would be better to do the same. Having some amount of work-experience will always be beneficial during your MBA journey.

Hi,
You must keep your basic concepts clear of your computer science subjects. Mainly the subjects in the 3rd and 4th year are covered in GATE. But basic foundation starts from 1st. You can go through previous year's question papers to get a feel of toughness and difficulty of GATE. GATE is an easy exam to crack if you are through with subject knowledge and good in applying them. You can refer to study materials available in market by Made Easy / can subscribe for material from Career Launcher to practice questions.
