IIT Guwahati released GATE 2026 final answer key. Candidates can login at GOAPS and access master question paper and answer key.

UIET Chandigarh considers GATE scores for admission to M.Tech programme. Selected candidates are called for counselling. Aspirants can get admission in M.Tech without GATE scores provided they meet the selection criteria.

MGM Institute of Biosciences and Technology does accept GATE scores for admission to M.Tech courses. Aspirants can also get into M.Tech based on their scores in NET or MGMU CET. The seats are offered to candidates based on their ranks in either of the accepted entrance exams.

Overall, the difficulty level of GATE 2026 paper was moderate to tough. The papers that were held on the first day were easy to moderate. The difficulty level of the popular papers- CSE, ME, CE, ECE, and EE had mixed student reactions from students and experts. Refer below to get a brief analysis of the subjects -

Computer Science (CSE)CSE 1 paper was modetrate to tough with lengthy questions. On the other hand, the CSE 2 paper was moderate. 
Mechanical Engineering (ME)ME paper was also moderate with concept-based questions. No MSQs were asked. NAT (2 questions - 1 mark, 18 questions - 2 mark, 28 questions of 1 mark, and 17 questions of 2 marks) were asked.
Civil Engineering (CE)Overall, CE-1 and 2 was moderate and had balanced level of questions. 
Electrical Engineering (EE)Moderate to tough with maximum numerical questions. 
Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)ECE paper was moderately tough with few tricky and time consuming questions. 

IIT Guwahati will release GATE 2026 result on March 19. Candidates can check their qualifying status using their enrollment ID and password.

Yes, GATE-qualified candidates can apply for SRMJEEE PG. Such candidates must provide their GATE scores at the time of filling application form. Registrations for SRMJEEE M.Tech are carried in phases, and applicants can fill form within given deadline.

Aspirants can get admission in M.Tech at IIITDM Kancheepuram without GATE scores. Candidates need to appear for a written test conducted by the institute for admission to M.Tech programme. The results of the test are announced on the institute's website.

GATE is one of the accepted entrance test for admission to the M.E. programme at SSN College of Engineering. Another accepted entrance exam at SSN College of Engineering is CEETA PG 2026.

No, GATE registrations have been closed for IIT Hyderabad PhD admissions to the academic year 2026. However, GATE is not a mandatory entrance exam for all PhD admissions at IIT Hyderabad.

Thus, candidates can still apply for PhD courses at IIT Hyderabad into the departments which accept candidates without a GATE score.

No, GATE is not a compulsory entrance exam for PhD admissions at IIT Hyderabad. However, every department of IIT Hyderabad has a separate eligibility and selection criteria for their offered PhD courses.

In some departments, candidates are required to appear for the GATE in order to be eligible for IIT Hyderabad PhD admissions.
