The admission processes for GIBS Business School in Bangalore have had an equal emphasis or priority for them: to create an environment that nurtures holistic development of all applicants through the evaluation and selection processes. Work experience is not a necessity for entrance into the PGDM or MBA course here at GIBS, though it is considered and offers an advantage in a significant manner.
As per the selection criteria of GIBS, due weightage is provided to the applicants with work experience.
Work experience during admission evaluation contributes 10% to the overall score.
Most of the fresh graduates (without work experience) get admitted, for instance, approximately 76% of the recent PGDM batch consisted of freshers.
So, although prior experience helps, freshers are fully eligible to apply.
