No, admission to GIET University is mostly determined by entrance. But for some courses, the university also admits students based on merit. After receiving a legitimate score on the recognised entrance exam, candidates are shortlisted and, if necessary, counseled. GIET University accepts several national and state-level entrance exams for admission to its BTech programme. Further, the university also conducts its own exam to shortlist the candidates.  The fees for the B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering course is Rs. 1,50,000 per year.

Yes, the university offers BTech and lateral entry degree. The duration of BTech degree is four years and for lateral entry is three years. However, in order to get admissions in BTech course the candiate need to qualify GIETEE exam.
