Admission to the BTech programme is done on the basis of in house exam of GITAIM School of Technology known as GITAM GAT. As of now, GITAM School of Technology only accepts GITAM GAT for the BTech programme, as mentioned on their official website. To be eligible for the BTech programme the aspiring candidates also need to have 50% in Class 12.

Candidates can apply for BTech at GITAM School of Technology, Visakhapatnam after completing Class 12. Aspirants need to pass Class 12 with 50% or 5.0 CGPA aggregate in Intermediate or Class 12 examination to apply for BTech. Hence, aspirants with 60% in Class 12 can also apply.

To be eligible to pursue MSc at GITAM, applicants are required to have scored at least 50% in bachelor's degree in relevant discipline. Hence, candidates scoring less than 60%, but over 50% are eligible to apply for the programme. MSc admission at GITAM are entrance-based. The seats are allotted to the candidates with a valid score in the accepted entrance exam.
