Can I pursue GNM after 10th, or is 12th compulsory?
I believe it is not possible to pursue or even get admission to a GNM course without passing your Class 12. It is one of the most important eligibility conditions that you'll have to fulfill to get GNM admission. However, it is not important to pass Class 12 with the Science stream.

GNM is a Diploma and not a degree course. It was initially a 3.5-year program, but was cut down to 3 years. It teaches you about the necessary knowledge and skills required to be a Staff Nurse or Midwife in a healthcare facility, Nursing Homes, NGOs, etc.
