Cutoff ranks for Government College of Technology, Coimbatore of TNEA Admissions 2024 are as follows:
BE Electronics & Communication Engineering: 5344
BE Computer Science and Engineering: 6170
BE Information Technology: 8715
These cutoff ranks represent the lowest ranks at which candidates were taken in the first round of TNEA. Further, the cutoff changes from round to round depending upon seat availability and the number of applicants.

Primarily, the process is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exams( TNEA for BTech and CEETA for MTech). While the GCT is a well-known government institution in Tamil Nadu, cutoff marks vary year to year depending on the number of applicants, the popularity of certain branches, and academics performance of candidates. No, normally there are no direct admissions to Government College of Technology (GCT), Coimbatore for B.E. / B.Tech programs. Admissions are normally conducted through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA). Candidates will be selected mainly based upon 12th standard marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and also based on counseling sessions based on the TNEA rank.

Quality of food prepared in the mess of Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, is supposed to be up to the standards of most students. The mess has a rich variety of both vegetarian and nonvegetarian meals. The proper diet and nutritional value of food in the mess are good for the students in every respect; however, the taste may vary according to personal choice. Its food is hygienically prepared and proper feedback is taken from the students to make it more qualitative. However, like most colleges, some of them feel that the food can be monotonic, but overall it serves basic needs.
