There is no official announcement for 2023 M.Sc minimum marks requirement. Based on previous year admission processes, I will provide you some related information.

Master of Science course admission will depend on the merit score and entrance exam. The applicant has a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with at least 50 percent marks. In the university, applicants will get proper learning of every subject and specialization.

Expect the minimum cutoff ranks for M.Sc programs at GBPUAT to be in the range of 400-700 for the General category and 500-800 for the OBC category.

The candidate should have secured at least CGPA/percentile not less than 6.000/10.000 or 3.000/5.000 or 55% marks in aggregate in B.Tech degree. From a recognised University.

Meeting the minimum mark requirement of 50% for the unreserved category (as per Pantnagar University Admission). For B.Sc. in Agriculture Economics, a B.Sc. or B.Sc.

So as per the admission process in B.Sc at GBPUAT there is no strict rule for having better marks in Intermediate, all you need is to secure a good rank in the entrance examination of university (generally held in month of April or may) as per your category.

While 70% in Class 12th is good, GBPUAT admission relies on Entrance Exam/JEE Main ranks (B.Tech), not just Class 12th scores. To estimate your chances:

Target a rank: General category cutoffs range from 500-1000 (728 in 2022). Aim below these ranges to increase your chances.

Research program-specific cutoffs: Cutoff ranks vary for different programs. Check past years' trends for your desired program.

Factor in JEE Main: If applying for B.Tech, prioritize a good JEE Main rank too.

Consider reservation categories: Cutoffs might be slightly lower for reserved categories.

Remember, cutoffs change yearly. Aim for a rank well below the expected
