Yes, you are eligible for NET exam. The UGC NET Exam is held for the selection of candidates for assistant professor posts in the university and colleges and for junior research fellowship and to pursue the Ph.D. The candidates need to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria to apply for the exam as follows:
Educational: The candidates must have completed the post graduation degree with more than 55% marks. Age: The candidates must be below 30 years for the NET JRF while there is no age limit for NET lectureship. A candidate is eligible for Admission and Registration for Ph.D. programme provided he/ she has qualified:
Masters Degree of any recognised University/other qualification in a relevant field. The minimum qualifying marks are 55% at Post Graduation level (Relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Able and other categories. )
