Dr B R Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) offers various Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG) and Diploma programmes in multiple streams including, Management, Science, Education, Commerce and Humanities and Social Sciences in Open Learning mode.
The university also offers M Sc in Environmental Science and B Ed in Special Education.
Minimum Eligibility criteria for UG and PG courses
Minimum eligibility to apply for UG course at BRAOU is class XII pass or equivalent from a recognized board or university. Candidates seeking admission to PG courses must have completed Graduation from a recognized university.
Candidates applying for MBA course must have scored at least 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates) marks in Graduation or equivalent from a recognized university.
Admission Process
BRAOU offers admission at UG level under two categories:
1: Formal Stream and
2: Non-Formal Stream
Formal Stream is for those candidates who have completed formal education at 10+2 level. Under this category, the candidates are admitted through direct admission.
Under Non-Formal Stream, those candidates are admitted who dont have formal education but have completed 18 years of age in the given year. Selection of candidates under this category is done through Eligibility Test (ET).
