The ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM) was established by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research in 1976 at Hyderabad. The major mandate of the Academy is to build capacity in agricultural research, education and extension education systems, and provide policy advocacy for the National Agricultural Research and Education System (NARES).
To fulfill these mandates, academy organizes various capacity building programmes for researchers, academicians, extension personnel, scholars, and other stakeholders in NARES. The Academy strives to enhance individual and institutional capacity for innovation in NARES. The courses offered by the insitute are:
Post Graduate Diploma in Management-Agriculture (PGDMA): Itis a 2 year, fully residential programme approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) designed to prepare students for management-related careers in the agriculture and food and allied sectors. The candidates for the programme are selected from pan India through rigorous selection procedure to maintain high standards. The programme aims at enabling students to acquire the critical competitiveness for functioning as effective Agribusiness managers, amalgamating sensitivity towards grass root level needs with corporate world expertise.
PGDTMA: This is a one year Post Graduate Diploma in Technology Management in Agriculture (PGD-TMA). It is a two- semester course jointly offered by NAARM and UoH, the two leading institutions of the country on a distance learning mode.
Considering the strategic importance of agricultural research in food security and economic growth of the country, leadership, governance and innovation are emerging as a prerequisite for the transformation of NARES into a more pluralistic innovation system.

1) Engineering
By far, engineering remains one of the career oriented conventional professional course in India. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) states, about one million engineers graduate from government universities, polytechnics and private colleges every year.
An unspecified number of Indian students opt for engineering studies in the US and Australia. An engineering course in India costs anything between Rs. 300,000 to Rs. 1 million, depending upon the institute and branch you are choosing.
2) Law
The demand for legal studies in India remains very high. Universities Grant Commission estimates, some 400,000 students graduate with law degrees every year.
The five-year course called Bachelor of Arts and Legum Baccalaureus (LLB) is offered primarily at government colleges in India.
A typical BA, LLB course costs around Rs. 100,000 to Rs. 300,000 depending upon the university. Government Law Colleges across the country affiliated to state-run universities offer the course.
3) Medicine
One of the most attractive course after 12th. Over 55,000 students graduate as doctors every year. These include graduates in Allopathy, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani and dentistry streams of medicine.
Common courses are Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Science (MBBS), Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Science (BAMS), Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Science (BUMS), Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Science (BHMS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).
