Established in 1972 as a Food Craft Institute, IHM Hyderabad was established by the Government of India and Government of Andhra Pradesh. It was upgraded into the Institute of Hotel Management, in 1984 and in 1986 affiliated to the fold of National Council for Hotel Management, Catering Technology, New Delhi, an autonomous body set up by the Ministry of Tourism & Culture, Govt. of India, informs the official website.
